Scholarships were awarded based on the answer to this essay question:

As a community bank, Ridge View Bank and its employees promote and invest in their local neighborhoods.  Why is it important for businesses to support their local community?

Essays were judged by a selection committee on originality, grammar, and how well ideas were expressed. In addition, contributions to both school and community were considered.

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who will be pursuing higher education in a business-related field of study.

CONGRATULATIONS!
