ROANOKE, Va. — July 2025. Ridge View Bank has appointed Justin Barnes as senior vice president, commercial banker, and credit officer effective June 30. In this role, Barnes will be involved in commercial portfolio production, retail credit, as well as various other strategic growth initiatives.
Barnes brings over 25 years of retail and commercial lending experience from various financial institutions across the region. He’s a proven leader and has previously helped teams expand into new markets. Barnes was attracted to Ridge View Bank for its growth potential and strong client relationships.

Barnes has worked with a wide breadth of clients including manufacturing, operating companies, and fleet and equipment lending. He’s built and grown a substantial commercial portfolio, team, and deposit base. As a native of Franklin County, Barnes has an in-depth and current understanding of the market potential in southwestern Virginia and neighboring areas.

Outside of work, Barnes is very active with his family, along with his charitable contributions, volunteering with multiple organizations around the area. He strives to align his philanthropic work with areas of need in his community and those organizations his team supports.
