Ridge View Bank Announces Three New Employees to Extend its Unique View on Business Banking

(Roanoke, VA) – Ridge View Bank, a division of CNB Bank, announces the appointment of two commercial banking professionals and one Senior Credit Officer. The three new employees come with extensive field experience and knowledge that expands Ridge View Bank's commercial banking portfolio. The announcement follows Ridge View Bank’s recent establishment in the Roanoke Valley filling the need for tailored financial services for small-to-medium sized businesses.

With more than 30 years of banking experience, Todd Hammock held several senior management roles including Market President of a local area bank. Born and raised in Virginia, Mr. Hammock received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Insurance from Radford University. He is also a graduate of the Wachovia Bank Commercial Lending School and the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management.

Mr. Hammock currently serves on the board of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin County YMCA Board of Directors, and is the Vice President of the Mariners Landing Community Association.

In his role as SVP/Senior Credit Officer, Mr. Hammock will work to develop strong commercial banking relationships while working closely with the commercial banking team to assist in attracting new opportunities across the bank’s entire footprint.

“Todd Hammock is deeply rooted in the Smith Mountain Lake and Franklin County markets and well thought of throughout the business community,” said McConnell. “His strong credit background coupled with the ability to build meaningful relationships is why he is the right fit for this role with Ridge View Bank.”

Rob Shorter brings 20 years of banking experience to Ridge View Bank and previously served as VP of Commercial and Retail Lending. A native of Virginia, Mr. Shorter received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Radford University. He is a graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking and the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management.

In his role as SVP/Commercial and Private Banking, Mr. Shorter oversees the financial activities of clients and works to develop and further cultivate client relationships.

“Rob is the perfect fit for our team and our clients,” said McConnell. “His vast experience and business lending insight brings tremendous value to both our private banking and commercial clients and their businesses.”

With over 20 years of banking experience, Todd Parsons spent the last twelve years as VP of Commercial Lending. A native of Roanoke, Mr. Parsons received a Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University. He went on to attend the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia.

In his role as VP/Commercial Banking, Mr. Parsons works with business owners and operators to ensure their banking needs are met while providing the highest level of customer service.
